Courier Zones

We operate from Industria, Johannesburg, and courier completed dies and plates to printers and packaging houses nationwide. These pages outline common delivery regions, practical turnaround expectations and support for repeat customers in each area.

From Industria to the rest of South Africa

Our base in Industria gives us quick access to major courier routes in Gauteng, with daily dispatches moving through Johannesburg, Pretoria and the wider inland network. From there, completed brass and magnesium dies, embossing plates and matched counterforce sets travel to print finishers and packaging houses in every province.

If your job is for a tight launch date or a packing line that cannot sit idle, choose the nearest regional page for a clearer idea of timing and support. We work with repeat customers who need the same file ref no, same plate size and the same packing method each time, which saves time and keeps sign-off simple.

How to choose the right courier zone

The right zone depends on where the job will land, how quickly the finished die must be on site, and whether the order is a one-off or a repeat run. For example, a packaging house in Cape Town may need a different courier plan to a label converter in Polokwane, even when the artwork and material are the same.

  • Choose your closest city page if the job needs regional timing guidance.
  • Use the national route if the delivery must go straight to a head office or main production plant.
  • Let us know if the parcel needs extra packing for coastal humidity, rough handling or storage before fitting.
  • If the job is urgent, say so at enquiry stage so we can plan production and dispatch together.

For repeat ordering, we can follow the same record as the last job, which helps when the same packging spec or die size is needed again.

Johannesburg and Pretoria courier coverage

Gauteng is our quickest turnaround corridor, with same-day or next working day dispatch often possible once artwork checks and production are complete. Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand, Ekurhuleni and surrounding industrial areas are usually the easiest to service when the brief is confirmed early in the day.

That said, delivery still depends on the courier cut-off and the complexity of the work. A simple repeat brass die may move out fast, while a first-time embossing plate with counterforce matching may take longer because the file, proof and machining all need a final check.

  • Best for urgent replenishment work.
  • Useful for trade printers needing quick sample impression advice.
  • Common for repeat orders with the same die file and engraving notes.

Cape Town, Durban and coastal delivery

Coastal deliveries need a bit more care, especially where humidity can affect packing if the parcel is stored before fitting. For Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha and other coastal centres, we pack completed dies and plates securely for transit and can advise on storing the parcel flat and dry until the machine is ready.

Courier timing into the coast is usually straightforward, but public holidays, road delays and regional cut-offs can change the plan. If your job is linked to a carton run, label line or seasonal promotional pack, send the details early so we can align dispatch with the production window.

  • Suitable for packaging houses working with monthly or seasonal runs.
  • Useful where the same repeat order must match a previous impression exactly.
  • Good for sites that need clear handover notes for fitting and test presses.

Interior towns and longer haul routes

Jobs headed to Bloemfontein, Polokwane, Mbombela and other inland centres are sent with the same care, but the route needs a little more planning around cut-off times and transit days. If a press schedule is fixed, it helps to build in a cushion for courier movement and installation time.

We regularly support printers outside the metro areas who still need accurate tooling and steady communication. That includes checking the artwork, filing the job properly and flagging any risks before the die leaves Johannesburg. Where needed, we can advise on sample impression checks so the team on site knows what to look for on first press.

Questions we get asked

How do I know which courier zone page to use?

Choose the page for the city or region where the die or plate will be delivered. If the job is for a satellite plant or a packaging house outside the main metro, use the closest regional page and tell us the final delivery suburb in your enquiry.

Can you courier urgent repeat orders nationwide?

Yes. Repeat orders are often the quickest to process because the file history, engraving notes and sizing are already on record. For urgent jobs, send the request early in the day so production and dispatch can be planned together.

Do you pack for coastal delivery and longer transit times?

Yes. We pack completed dies and plates for courier movement and can advise on safe storage if the parcel will sit at site before fitting. This is especially useful for coastal areas, humid storerooms or busy packaging lines where the job may not be unpacked immediately.
