Acceptance of these website terms
This website is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of Hot Stamping Dies. The site is intended for businesses and individuals seeking brass and magnesium hot-stamping dies, embossing plates and related support for print finishing and packaging work in South Africa.
By accessing the site, browsing its pages, or sending an enquiry through the contact form, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site and do not submit any files or job details.
Enquiries, quotations and order confirmation
Information on the site is provided for general guidance only. A request for a quote does not create a binding order, and pricing is only confirmed once we have reviewed the artwork, specifications, quantities, turnaround requirements and delivery destination.
We may decline work that is outside our production capability, unsuitable for the intended application, or incomplete in detail. Any order is only accepted once it has been confirmed in writing by our team and the relevant production details have been agreed.
- Quotations may change if artwork, size, material or turnaround requirements change.
- Urgent turnaround requests are subject to production capacity and file readiness.
- Repeat ordering is based on the latest approved specification on file.
Artwork, file quality and technical checks
Clients remain responsible for the accuracy of all supplied text, measurements, spellings, artwork and brand details. We may carry out artwork checks, die design review and sample impression advice, but this does not replace your own approval process. Please check all files carefully before authorising production.
If artwork is unclear, low resolution, incorrectly set up, or missing essential dimensions, we may request revised files before work continues. Delays caused by incomplete artwork, late approvals, or changes after approval are the responsibility of the client. Small adjustments to improve manufacturability may be recommended, especially where fine detail, close counterforce matching, or repeated use is required.
Production standards, alterations and repeat jobs
We aim to produce dies and embossing plates to the agreed specification using suitable materials and workshop processes. Minor differences may occur from one job to another due to material behaviour, engraving depth, press settings, or the condition of the receiving equipment at your premises.
Where a die is returned for cleaning, alteration, damage assessment or repeat use, we will inspect it and advise on the condition before proceeding. If a previous die has worn, been damaged in transit, or has been stored incorrectly, extra work may be required and additional charges may apply.
- Counterforce matching depends on the exact press setup and substrate.
- Sample impressions help confirm pressure, alignment and finish before full production.
- Job filing is retained for production reference only, and files may be archived according to our internal process.
Packing, dispatch and delivery across South Africa
Finished work is packed for courier dispatch from Industria, Johannesburg to print finishers and packaging houses nationwide, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Polokwane and Mbombela. Delivery dates are estimates only and may be affected by courier delays, public holidays, weather, industrial action, load shedding or traffic congestion.
Risk in the goods passes when the parcel is collected by the courier or handed to the nominated transport provider. Please inspect parcels on receipt and report any visible damage or shortages promptly. If a package arrives with clear damage, keep the packaging and take photographs so the matter can be assessed quickly.

You may not misuse the site, copy content without permission, interfere with its operation, submit false information, or use it in a way that harms our systems or our team. We may suspend access if we believe the site is being used improperly.
To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, we are not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit, production stoppage, missed deadlines, or damage arising from reliance on site content alone. - Technical guidance is given in good faith but remains subject to final production verification.
